Company Formation

The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) is the single regulator for financial services activities in Malta. It regulates and supervises credit and financial institutions, investment, trust and insurance business and also houses the country's Companies Registry.

The MFSA issues guidance notes, monitors local and international developments, works with relevant parties on legislative matters, and plays a major role in training. It encourages high standards of compliance and runs a consumer affairs unit.


Formation costs encompass the following:

  • One time registration fee (depending on the authorised share capital)

  • The drafting of the company's memorandum and articles of association

  • Application of the company's income tax registration

  • Application of an advanced revenue ruling for tax purposes

  • Opening of one bank account in the name of the company.

The annual costs are also very competitive and would include:

  • Annual fees re filing of the annual return (depending on the authorised share capital)

  • Fees relating to the licenced nominee company

  • Registered address

  • Company secretarial fees

Audit, accountancy and legal fees are normally charged on an hourly basis.

iGamingServices, through one of its partners, also offers its clients the day to day management of the company which would include invoicing, banking, monthly bank reconciliations, payments to suppliers, receipts from debtors, payroll, secretarial, telephone, fax and mail forwarding. Fees are negotiable and are subject to the level and volume of business.
